I was born and raised in Cabo Rojo, a small town on the west side of Puerto Rico.

Following my interests in reading and advocacy, I decided to complete my bachelors degree in International Studies hoping to become a lawyer.  This dream shifted as I worked for several student organizations and nonprofits, helping out in social media and audience engagement. This opened up endless doors with new opportunities as I explored digital marketing, event planning, and communications. Inspired by these new experiences, I decided I wanted to hone my writing skills in English.

I am currently completing my masters degree in Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University.  Making the move to the US alone has been challenging, but the fruits of my efforts have been endless.  Since arriving in Syracuse, I’ve focused on service journalism, highlighting local nonprofits, community leaders and businesses that impact the people of Central New York. I've also worked in public relations for several university projects.

On a more personal level, I’ve taken to baking and going to the movies every week. I’m a film girly! With such a busy schedule, I appreciate the hours I have to myself and love calm hobbies.

What’s next? I’m looking for positions in communications that will allow me to grow personally and professionally.
